Question by Emma: In Massachusetts, about when is the best time to take pictures outdoors?

I took some nice pictures outdoors for my photography assignment in December, but now that it's May the sun is on a way different schedual!

Approximately what time is the sun lower in the sky and brightest? Like, if you put a glass down, it would probably sparkle because the suns rays are most luminous.

Ah....Magic hour. A lovely time to shoot, calm at the crack of dawn, and warm at dusk...

(Midday sun is too harsh, IMO. Magic hour would be best in any place)

If you get in the habit of shooting at these times, there are tons of sunrise/sunset calendars on the net.

Here's one: http://www.sunrisesunset.com/

It updates fairly regularly and displays major cities all over the world in every time zone.
